Holi is an ancient Indian festival which marks the onset of spring. Celebrated by people around the world, this vibrant and colorful celebration signifies renewal and change. On the day of Holi, friends and family gather around to cast off burdens from the past and start fresh for a new season. People splatter each other in colorful powder, drench in water balloons, eat delightful sweet treats, as well as traditional snacks to honor this festive occasion. The joy of Holi continues for many days; its spirited traditions elicit warmth and togetherness that will leave lasting memories for all.

HISTORY OF HOLI

The history of Holi is thought to be over 3,000 years old.  While Holi has its roots in Hindu mythology, its traditions have spread through India and around the world, becoming a truly multicultural affair enjoyed by people from many backgrounds. It is sure to be celebrated for many more millennia to come.
