Happiness in Minutes: 10 Amazing Effects of Tapping

Want to learn how to find happiness in minutes?  It’s true, you can!

Welcome to the transformative world of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) tapping, a holistic practice with profound effects on emotional well-being. Rooted in ancient acupressure principles and refined by modern psychology, tapping offers a powerful avenue for achieving emotional balance and inner harmony. The journey of EFT, also known as tapping, takes us back to the 1990s when Gary Craig simplified and popularized this technique. By gently tapping on specific meridian points on the body, EFT facilitates the release of emotional blockages and disruptions in the body’s energy system.  In stressful situations, you can literally use tapping to feel happier in minutes!

Tapping played a significant role in my own life, facilitating the process of relieving the stress of chronic depression that had been recalcitrant to many other modalities.  Having been diagnosed with ADD and chronic depression, I was told I would need medications for life, that I just didn’t produce enough serotonin and dopamine, and that if I were to have a cost-prohibitive brain scan, we would find that the frontal lobe of my brain was not so awake.  I was placed on Adderall, Lexapro, and Wellbutrin, and I didn’t like them, all for different reasons.  Today, I am medication-free and enjoy a peaceful life.

I also suffered from severe asthma from my late 20s until my early 50s, with regular ER visits and hospitalizations, and even a stint with intubation and a very near-death experience in 1988.  While my asthma began to get better before I learned about tapping, I wholly believe that decreasing the stress in your life is a must if you suffer from asthma.

Today, I have no asthma, no depression, and no debilitating ADD symptoms of mental chaos and confusion, all without medication.  Try out tapping.  Not only does tapping work on chronic issues, you can literally find happiness in minutes during stressful situations or just to calm down regular stress, triggers, and reactions.

At the Movies

My favorite tapping movie – DO take the time to watch it.   Live examples of people literally feeling happier in minutes or healing long-term chronic health issues.

On the Other Hand

While Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) tapping is generally considered safe and beneficial for many individuals, it’s important to acknowledge that there can be potential negative side effects or challenges for some people. For instance, some individuals might experience emotional or physical discomfort when addressing deeply rooted issues, and the process of bringing up unresolved emotions could be overwhelming. Additionally, if not performed properly or by a trained practitioner, there is a possibility of re-traumatization or intensification of negative emotions. And while often you can find improved happiness in minutes, don’t beat yourself up if it doesn’t happen that quickly.

It’s crucial for individuals with certain mental health conditions, such as severe trauma or dissociation, to approach EFT with caution and under the guidance of a qualified mental health professional if you are dealing with significant trauma. As with any therapeutic technique, what works positively for one person may not have the same effect for another. It’s advisable for individuals to assess their own comfort level and seek professional guidance if needed before delving into EFT tapping.  If you experience any overwhelm from tapping, be sure to reach out for professional assistance, most of which you can find in the three resources mentioned above.
